Park Abbey is a unique and remarkable heritage site in Leuven, where historical heritage and vibrant activity come together flawlessly. Centuries-old traditions are rooted in the here and now – hence our motto: tradition in renewal, renewal in tradition. By combining respect for the past with an eye for a sustainable future, Park Abbey, 900 years after its foundation, is still a sensationally stimulating and inspiring place!

What’s unique is that the partners are putting the restored buildings to use again with their former functions, but in a contemporary context

Park Abbey, as we know it today, came about mainly during the prosperous 17th and 18th centuries. What makes it unique is that, since then, very little has been demolished or added.

The Norbertines have inhabited the estate continuously since 1129 and to this day they continue the valuable tradition of community life and pastoral work. Discover the history of Park Abbey here.
