Aedicula

The artwork gives form to a universal place of silence that invites groups to come together, to reflect, to remember and to take a pause, as well as individuals who are seeking peace and meditation.

​For Aedicula, Renato Nicolodi takes his inspiration directly from the site itself. The title of the artwork literally means ‘niche’, an important architectural element within various religious traditions and found frequently in Park Abbey. In line with the characteristic building style, in which a niche protects and reveals, the artwork invites you to seek and experience silence, together or alone.
