Laure Prouvost - In The Cracks We Nest
High above the library, Laure Prouvost creates In The Cracks We Nest, 2026, a new site-specific landscape among the historic timber roof structure.
In the hidden passage above the library, branches, ceramic birds, nets and found objects hang among the wooden beams, as if they had settled there of their own accord. You discover the installation from a narrow walkway, by looking up. The timber barrel vault that supports the library’s stucco ceiling becomes the ground of a suspended landscape. Below, books and archives preserve knowledge; above, Prouvost evokes a more intuitive, dreamlike way of understanding. She does not set the two against each other, but lets them coexist. During the opening weekend, the choir Singing Anderlecht gives a concert in the museum in collaboration with Prouvost.
